Beautifully put.

I'm an Australian, so I am a bit hesitant about commenting on US politics. But I am coming more and more to realise that both parties, Republicans and Democrats, are truly wings of the one bird. Perhaps not originally, but at this stage, all political parties seem to be infiltrated and corrupted.

Certainly we see that here in Australia. After one or 2 terms the other party gets voted in, and they spend a lot of energy criticising their predecessors, and reversing some of their policies (and sometimes this is a good thing). However, most of the core policies just continue, with only minor changes.

During the past 2 years, both our major parties here were pushing lockdowns and vaccines as the only answer, and suppressing the early treatments. The opposition party used its media time to do nothing more than criticise the other guys for not doing it fast enough, or hard enough, or cleverly enough - but almost nobody in power actually suggested we do anything different. (We had a handful of courageous exceptions - who just got treated with ridicule by the mainstream media and in fact, the rest of parliament.)

Now that this pattern has emerged so clearly, we can see it everywhere.

At this stage, I am not sure what to make of Trump - he did implement some very different policies: important treaties in the Middle East in the direction of less war-mongering, and a lot of anti-globalist policies too. However, the Republicans as a party have pretty much dissociated themselves from Trump, and right now seem to be competing with the Democrats as to who can destroy America fastest.

Some decades ago, we at least had some statesmen in politics, in many countries. Now, they all seem to be clowns and/or puppets. And corrupt.

I will watch the documentary. Thank you!
