NO AMNESTY FROM THE TRUTH
My thoughts on The Atlantic article that calls to provide amnesty to those who committed crimes.
Like many people, The Atlantic article entitled “Let’s declare a pandemic amnesty” has made me think what is the best argument against it.
Here is what I think:
To give amnesty to those who committed the crimes that took place in the last few years means that those who committed these crimes would have no incentives to change their behaviour, because they will be spared from the truth. The truth is that our rights and freedoms has been stripped and taken, we were abused, we got sick, we lost friends and relatives, our kids has been damaged, our finance has been damaged, our society has been damaged, our energy supply has been damaged and depleted on purpose, our food supplies has been systematically destroyed, our security has been severely damaged by waves of uncontrolled immigration, and now they come and ask us to forgive them? And they don’t have to pay for anything? We lost so much and they gained so much, and they want us to accept it? Is that what “fair” looks to them? Is that how “first, do no harm” looks like to them? Is that what they consider a fair contract?
To give amnesty to anyone who committed any of the crimes that took place in the last few years means inviting much more damage to ourselves, to our loved ones, and to all of our brothers and sisters. To give amnesty to anyone who committed any of the crimes that took place in the last few years means the end of truth, which means hell on earth, where truth and love will be sacrificed by those who put themselves as gods above us, above love, above truth.
GOD IS TRUTH. THERE IS NO AMNESTY FROM THE TRUTH.

I'm a "live and let live" sort of person, and I managed to avoid getting too badly impacted by all the pandemic restrictions. I live in Brisbane, Australia, and there was a period of several months where I was restricted from going to public venues such as restaurants, pubs, theatres, and sporting events. We had some nasty jab mandates here for travel & for a lot of work categories (health workers, emergency services, teachers, government workers, & many others) - but being retired, it didn't affect me personally very much.
However, when you review just how badly people behaved, and remember how we all got bullied and subjected to hate speech, you can start to see how outrageous this article is. Because the bullying, hate speech and gaslighting are still going on. In fact, governments around the world have been busy introducing legislation to normalise it. Here in Queensland, the government just passed a bill to discipline doctors who might not be on board with the public health advice (i.e. it will become even more difficult for them to speak out about treatments, or even to report adverse effects of injectables or other promoted medications.
And all over the world, countries are tightening up on "internet safety" - which means (among other things) expressing opinions that are not aligned with government agenda.
So no, I'm not inclined to forgive, and certainly not to forget. My son and others I care about got bullied and harassed, people lost their jobs and businesses, we were all subjected to a massive intentional propaganda campaign to keep us afraid and compliant.
The more I think about it, the angrier I feel.
NO. Let's NOT forgive. Or forget.
